🎉Today we're celebrating Chief Jennifer Tejada, a LEPSL program graduate who recently retired as Chief of Emeryville (CA) Police Department. While at EPD, Chief Tejada introduced the practices of mindfulness, compassion cultivation and self-awareness (🤓weekend reads: https://www.mindful.org/mindful-policing-the-future-of-force/ and https://www.cordico.com/2019/08/02/taking-care-of-the-human-behind-the-badge/). 👈

She's an executive fellow with the National Police Foundation, advisor to Cal Chief's Women Leaders in Law Enforcement, Mindfulness Peer Coach for First Responders, and we're proud to say, current faculty member for the LEPSL program. She's an innovative and passionate changemaker who will no doubt continue to leave her mark on the law enforcement community.
