The excitement in the room all day was palpable. We were inspired and fired up with Falisha Rexford kicking the day off. As Buddy Rushing put it best, “I want to cry while running through a brick wall after her speech”. Then Buddy Rushing blew all of our minds showing us what’s possible, with stories about real VFF members and how they changed their lives through real estate. We also learned about infinite banking with Brent Kesler, tax and legal with Garrett Wilkes, and Austin Yagle broke down the VA loan like an absolute pro. Greg Reid was absolutely electric while jumping on chairs and giving away TONS of books! The powerful all female panel was inspirational and showed us 4 different paths to financial freedom. Then we had long time friends and real estate powerhouses, Bruce Norris and Tony Alvarez, wrap up the day which had everyone on the edge of their seats.

The IRS allows you to hire your children as employees in your small business. Your child won’t have to pay taxes if their income for a given tax year is less than the standard amount for that year (e.g., $13,850 for 2023). There are specific qualifications that you have to meet in order to take advantage of the incentive, but if you have children who meet those qualifications set out by the IRS, it could be a great way for you to get some tax benefit for your business and to give your children's savings accounts some money year over year as well. Be sure to research the IRS guidelines before using the strategy.
