Missing our sisters abroad like crazy!🤍

🌅 🌙 ⭐️

“Before college, I didn’t really see myself as someone who would be in a sorority, but I decided to rush this past fall because why not? I had known some girls in Pi Phi already who were super friendly and down to earth, but I still tried going into the recruitment process with as much of an open mind as possible. When I met even more girls in Pi Phi though, I immediately felt super comfortable and I noticed that everyone had their had their own unique personalities and interests. Every single person I talked to was so genuine and showed that they actually cared about our conversations. I am so beyond happy that I decided to join Pi Phi this year and I can’t wait to make more memories with all of the beautiful and amazing girls in this chapter:)”

The girls & golf ⛳️

This weeks comes from Annie Deal 🌸 🫶🏼

“My why Pi Phi is so simple…the friends and memories I’ve made are undoubtedly the best part of college. Being 3,000 miles away from home has been difficult, but these girls and chapter have made it easy. There isn’t a time I walk into the house and feel anything less than being welcomed with open arms and so much love. My college experience wouldn’t be the same without these girls and the love and I’m extremely lucky to have friends that make San Diego truly feel like home away from home. PPL 😏❤️”

this year centers around the theme of Black Resistance, which highlights the constant effort towards greater equality for Black Americans. During history, these individuals have had to and continue to resist oppression in all aspects of life to fight for a place in society. Through struggles with systemic poverty, equal housing, education, and voting rights, Black Resistance has advocated for the opportunity to live a dignified, self-determined life in the US and beyond.

A message from our VPI:

Though we are trying to forge forward in the battle for racial equality, Black History Month serves as a reminder that we are far from it. It takes all of us being committed to reeducating ourselves and being able to recognize the issues we all contribute to, not only during February, but year round. We should take this time to celebrate, understand, and amplify Black voices, remaining mindful of the work ahead and learning how to improve from history.

Happy Wednesday 🦋
You already know what that means!

“I choose Pi Phi because I was an out of state student coming to a big school and really wanted to make a good group of friends that shared my same values. Going through recruitment I talked to my big and g-big in sisterhood round and instantly felt so comfortable and a sense of belonging. Every girl in Pi Phi brings so many different qualities into the chapter and it is one big family. I always feel pushed to do my best and strive for things in Pi Phi and outside of Pi Phi in school ❤️ It is one big family and couldn’t be more blessed to have such an amazing support system around me.”
