Apprentice Spotlight!!

Meet - Ivan Resendiz - A second period Taping apprentice from San Diego, Ca. Local 619! His uncle invited him to come into the Union and he is currently working for SDI.

- Some of his goals while being in the trade is to learn and master his craft of taping as well as expand his skills into framing and hanging! He is excited about being able to support his family as well as having the opportunities to invest for his future!

- When he’s not working he likes to be out on his mountain bike!

He is currently certified in:
OSHA 10
Scaffold User
1hr Sexual Harassment Training
Anti-Harassment Training
COVID-19 Preparedness

- He is bilingual in Spanish and English

It was my pleasure instructing Ivan this week and a privilege to have him as a brother in the trade! He is an excellent student and an all around good guy. If you see him out there, train him up and help him become the best worker and human, for himself and for our brotherhood!!
