Biology is amazing! It is awesome how organisms have adapted to live in the world. Learning biology changes one’s view of the world in many ways. I feel that it is important for people to start understanding at a young age how biology impacts them and how they impact biology. That is why my interest is in tutoring students from middle school through college.

I structure my lessons to make sure you are learning and understanding the concepts that are important to your instructors. You and I are partners. I know a lot, but I do not know everything. I am not afraid to say, “I don’t know” and find the answers to your questions. It is fun to hear your questions and what interests you!

I am an adjunct biology professor and have taught biology continuously for twelve years. I have a PhD in microbiology/molecular biology. I have taught at seven different institutions, so I am accustomed to working with people of diverse backgrounds, experience, and education. Some of my students have never had a science class.
