Calling all anthro grad students! Sign up to run for one of our positions for the AGSA board! Elections are happening soon so if you want to be a member of AGSAs board sign up ASAP!
Why should you join AGSA?
1. **It looks great on Ph.D. applications** (as being involved on campus is an important consideration in applications)
2. It's a great way for graduate students to organize and represent their interests to the department and university (for example, AGSA has worked with the CSU student worker's union in the past to address issues with different ISA positions)
3. It's a great way to connect with different students and faculty in the program
4. It's a great way to gain experience with a variety of roles that will also boost your CV (for example, AGSA coordinates Anthropology Day activities every year, and we've also assisted with organizing events at conferences, research presentation series, etc.)
5. AGSA is completely controlled by the students--that is, the board can make the organization whatever they want it to be.
Position descriptions are attached to the sign up sheet!
