👋 Hi! I’m Ms. Bueno, the owner of Bueno Animal Training.

I’m a credentialed agriculture teacher, 4-H leader, and livestock educator with a passion for helping youth and families build confidence through hands-on learning.

For the past three years, I’ve taught students virtually from across the country, and before that I spent five years teaching agriculture in the classroom. I also have 12 years of hands-on experience breeding, training, showing, and raising livestock.

I work with:
🐷 Swine
🐑 Sheep
🐐 Goats
🐄 Cattle
🐇 Rabbits
🐓 Chickens
🦃 Turkeys
🐹 Guinea pigs
🐩 Dogs

Whether you’re buying your first project animal, preparing for fair, working through a training challenge, or wanting to improve your showmanship, my goal is to make livestock projects less overwhelming and more enjoyable.

I believe in:
✔️ Science-based training
✔️ Low-stress animal handling
✔️ Safety for both youth and animals
✔️ Practical, step-by-step instruction
✔️ Helping families understand the “why,” not just the “how”

I offer:
📚 Self-paced online courses
💻 Virtual coaching with personalized feedback
📍 In-person lessons in the San Diego area
🎓 Support for homeschool, 4-H, FFA, and independent livestock families

If you’re looking for guidance, I’d love to help!

I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about livestock training support, fair prep, and families trying to figure out what to practice next, so I wanted to reintroduce myself.

Hi, I’m Ms. Bueno with Bueno Animal Training. I offer virtual animal training, livestock project support, fair prep coaching, project reviews, and personalized lessons for students, families, teachers, advisors, and animal owners.

I support:
Cattle • Lambs • Goats • Pigs • Turkeys • Chickens • Rabbits • Guinea Pigs • Dogs

Virtual support means I can coach you from your own barn, home, practice space, or arena so we can look at what is actually happening and make a clear next-step plan.

Workshop Name: Finding Livestock Projects Near You: Sourcing Animals and Supporting First-Year Exhibitors

Presenter: Shelby Bueno, Bueno Animal Training / Teacher Consultant

Date and Time: June 22, 12:00 PM EDT

Description: Access to appropriate livestock projects can be one of the first major barriers for students entering FFA, 4-H, Grange, or independent exhibition. This interactive workshop will help agricultural educators identify practical ways to source livestock, build local breeder and community contact lists, communicate clearly with sellers, and explain project expectations to students and families. Participants will discuss animal sourcing scripts, common livestock terminology, planning backward from fair day, auction preparation timelines, and what to recommend when students or families source animals independently, including quarantine and basic first-week precautions.
