Although it is not required, we encourage attendees to bring clothes/accessories to swap with other event guests.

This year, the National Transgender HIV Testing Day will be commemorated on Monday, April 18, 2022. It is a special day to raise HIV status awareness through testing, prevention and treatment among trans and GNC folks. It also aims to continue to elevate and improve the quality of life for many who are at higher risk for HIV infection. Although we now have more effective prevention tools and efforts, we must continue to encourage folks to know their HIV status so they can take the necessary steps and choices on how to live healthier and productive lives.

On April 18, 2022, Community Activist along with Community Partners invite you to commemorate the 6th National Transgender HIV Testing Day (NTHTD). We will be hosting a panel discussion/presentation where we have invited Community Leaders/Partners who will discuss the importance and life-changing power of HIV testing.

The Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR), also known as the International Transgender Day of Remembrance, has been observed annually (from its inception) on November 20 as a day to memorialize those who have been murdered as a result of transphobia.
It is a day to draw attention to the continued violence endured by transgender people.

Transgender Day of Remembrance was founded in 1999 by a small group including Gwendolyn Ann Smith to memorialize the murder of transgender woman Rita Hester in Allston, Massachusetts

As a result of intolerance and hate we are celebrating this Transgender Day of Remembrance. Now, it is for us to do the work of the ones who couldn’t be here with us to fight this battle of gender equality.
