Taking the time to just draw is so good for calming, relaxing & unwinding.
Even if it’s just for 10 to 15 minutes a day.
Try it, I dare you!
Project Kids Art
Hi, I'm Liz Eaton, Art was so important for me as a kid. let me teach your kids art.
Let’s finish up those sketches.
Using a pen, sketch/trace lightly over your pencil drawing.
Be light with your brown, you can always go back & add more.
Once you do this, take an eraser & remove all your pencil lines.
Then, go back with your pen & add in any additional details needed.
Done! You did it!
Want to know a trick though?
Do it again & again. Keep practicing! That’s how you nail those details!
You got this! I’m here to help!
Let’s do this together!

Sometimes just a few art supplies is the answer to not over complicating a project.
In this project being creative is easy & with little mess too!
Creating doesn’t have to be complicated or overwhelming!
You got this!!
Gather your supplies, the kids & get creating!
Having a purpose of treasure hunting for things to use in our art projects is a great way to connect nature to art.
In this case we were looking for drift would to use in a yarn project.
We even found some cool sea creatures on our adventure!
Art Journaling is a great way to get the creative juices flowing!
What’s needed for this?
-journal or paper
-magazines
-scissors
-glue
-watercolors
-colored pencils
-pens
-markers
Basically anything though will work.
Start flipping through & see what you are drawn to, what colors make you stop flipping & speak to you.
Rip them out, glue them on & start creating.
Need a raining, snowy, winters day activity?
Or maybe it’s super sunny out?
Anytime really is the perfect time to art journal!
But you ask, what is art journaling?
Simply it is taking magazines, art supplies of any kind and cutting, gluing, drawing, painting & whatever else you’d like into a journal.
It’s fun, it’s simple & it is a great way to get creative!
Need a simple project to do with your kids? This is one you don’t need many supplies, most likely you will have everything you need right at home!
The end result has so many uses too!
What would you use your tin can transformation for??
Kids love to create, sometimes they need guidance, ideas, starting points, but kids do love to create.
As a parent, it is our job to help direct them, guide them, but I know that isn’t always easy.
Let me help. I am a huge advocate of kids being creative, of growing, of making a mess & learning along the way.
This girl of mine is constantly creating.
Her imagination is as big as the sky & I want her to keep exploring this!
Giving her the supplies, space to create & encouragement as a parent is so important.
I want her to keep the idea of creating alive for her as she grows.
Do you feel this way about your own kids?

Making art as a kid can be an extremely good outlet.
They can express themselves in a different way.
Exploring different mediums and types of art helps kids understand their options.
It helps them know that there are endless possibilities.
Walking into my studio to find PK creating art on her own means I have given her to tools to go and explore all the possibilities art brings us.

I got home from being at a baseball game for my son and found PK, my 10 year old, working on a school project.
She was doing papier-mâché, building trees out of random supplies & basically making the coolest village ever!
I love that because she has the skills to do projects like this, she just goes for it!
