The rulebook I was given wasn’t mine to follow.

I had to build something from scratch. I cried. Rebuilt and did it anyway.

That’s what choosing yourself actually looks like, the good, the fun, and the the ugly.

Calladita Culture®️ told me to stay small and be grateful for the seat. I chose to build a table instead.

i’m not saying you have to blow up your life to reclaim it, but I’m saying you get to choose what you’ll do.

Confidence is what you perform. Certainty is what you inhabit. One is exhausting. The other is what you actually came here to lead from.

Two days ago someone I respect asked me to donate a coaching session to a silent auction benefiting Femme House, a nonprofit creating equitable opportunity for women and gender-expansive people in the music industry.

As the daughter of a musician, my answer was immediate.

Then I thought: is what I do enough for something like this?

Not whether the cause mattered. I knew that. For a long enough moment, I wondered if my contribution deserved a seat at the table. A coaching session. Next to other items, other people, other things that felt, in that split second, more obvious. More auction worthy.

I almost talked myself out of it.

Good thing I caught it. Because I know that feeling. I've named it and studied it. I've sat with clients who run multimillion dollar companies and still walk into rooms wondering if someone's going to find out they don't belong.

It's the certainty gap. The space between what you know intellectually and what your body believes the moment someone is actually watching.

I said yes. I donated the session. And I'm telling you about it because that's the work. The tiny, undramatic moments where you choose visibility anyway.

The auction is live today. Every dollar goes directly to Femme House. Link in bio to bid on a Spiral Forward Call with me, or browse what other incredible humans put in the room.
Hayley Shines and Femme House gracias for the invitation.

My mom worked long days. Three kids. No support system. When she couldn’t make it to school pickup, my friend Abby’s mom did. Both of them raised me. So did Abby’s tia. So did Susan, my manager.

Actually, many other women raised me during different chapters in my life. I have many stories.

That’s where my body of work actually started, though it took me decades to figure that out.

Share this with the community that raised you.

All of our translating stories build us, make us resourceful, incredible navigators of life.

The quiz is in my bio. It names what you’re translating and what it’s costing you.

Here to continue building together.

Onward.

You laugh at the meme.
But you know it’s you 🤭
The one who:
• Says she wants depth but avoids the room
• Craves community but isolates
• Feels the pull but waits for permission

The overthinking. The “maybe next time.” The waiting until you feel ready.

Querida Yo isn’t for the version of you who’s still negotiating with herself. It’s for the woman who’s tired of postponing her becoming.

Querida Yo was created for the woman who is done shrinking her desires to make everyone else comfortable.

Querida Yo is for us. And we're saving you a seat.

Early bird pricing ends soon, and if this keeps coming back to you… listen.

Me desperté esta mañana con el pecho apretado.

Agarré el teléfono.
Me perdí en un espiral por 20 minutos.
Me sentí impotente.
Sentí rabia.
Sentí que me estaba ahogando.

Luego recordé algo: mi sistema nervioso no sabe la diferencia entre una amenaza en las noticias y un tigre en la habitación.
Solo sabe PELIGRO.

Así que hice tapping.
Dos minutos. Nada más.
Y pude volver a respirar.

Mi reina, no one warned us that burnout is a brain issue, not a personality flaw!

We were taught to push harder, normalize exhaustion, and call it “ambition”

But when I learned how my neurodivergent brain actually works, everything shifted
my energy, my business, my life!!

POV: You open a box and instantly feel more seen 🥰

Just unboxed these stunning conversational cards from and… I already know they’re about to start some 🔥 convos.

They’re giving culture, depth, and “wait why am I lowkey crying at the affirmation cards?” energy.

So if you’re into connection (and a lil healing), get yours!

put a lot of thought into creating these and you can tell. I can’t wait to see them in the wild!

I often share that I’m an accidental coach, I was a brand strategist and my coach told me to explore coaching because she saw a great coach in me

I found back in 2017-2018 and it took me a long time to enroll 😅

I enjoyed the classes so much, I remember wishing I could one day be on the other side teaching

Fast forward a few years, I am one of Lumia’s instructors and it truly is an honor to share knowledge with future coaches

It’s even more special to serve as a resource for coaches of Color not only as their instructor but also as the facilitator for Lumias BIPOC Affinity Group, a group that didn’t exist when I was a student and so glad it does now because our experiences are different

Excited to continue being a resource for future coaches this year! Thank you so much for the feedback 😭✨
