This Friday, our team went through the first part of our running mechanics staff education.

We practiced and broke down the basics of efficient running, including:
โ๏ธ foot strike and where the foot should land
โ๏ธ running posture and body position
โ๏ธ arm carriage and how the arms help set rhythm
โ๏ธ wall running drills
โ๏ธ how cadence and quick feet can help reduce overstriding
โ

Memorial Day is not just a long weekend, a day off, or another workout.

For me, this one is personal.
โ
As someone who served in the United States Marine Corps, I know that behind every name is a family, a story, a brother, a sister, a friend, and a life that ended way too soon.
โ
Today we honor Clint Ahlquist.
โ
Clint was 23 years old when he was killed on February 20, 2007, while serving with the USMC. He was killed while leading the evacuation of a wounded Marine in his squad. He did what Marines do, he put his people first.
โ
This workout is for him.
โ
It is not about the time on the clock.
It is not about being the fastest.
It is not about proving anything.
โ
It is about remembering.
โ
Every rep, every run, every hard moment in this workout is done with gratitude and respect for Clint, for his sacrifice, and for every service member who never made it home.
