New language classes for adults start in October!

German, Spanish and English, in person in Kearny Mesa
Tuesdays, 6:00-7:30 PM, October 13 to December 22 (10 classes)
- Beginner German, with a curriculum developed in collaboration with German Pacific School San Diego
- Beginner Spanish
- English for Spanish-speaking adults
German and Spanish are taught mostly in English, gradually adding the new language. English is taught mostly in Spanish, gradually adding English.

- Kearny Mesa: Fridays, 6:30-8:00 PM, starting October 16

- Online shorter lessons: Tuesdays and Thursdays, noon-12:40 PM, starting October 13

New in Encinitas: the Italian school of San Diego is opening its second location in North County, for children and adults.

Kids, TK through 5th grade: Mondays, 4:00-6:00 PM, from September 14, 2026. Two small groups by age, each with its own native Italian teacher.

Adults, beginner and intermediate: Fridays, 6:00-7:30 PM, from September 18, 2026, in the same classrooms.

We meet at San Dieguito United Methodist Church, 170 Calle Magdalena, Encinitas, with ample free parking. No previous knowledge of Italian is required: every group starts from the beginning. Children who already hear Italian at home are welcome too.

Nuovo a Encinitas: la Italian school of San Diego apre la sua seconda sede in North County, per bambini e adulti.

Bambini, dalla TK alla quinta elementare: il lunedì dalle 16:00 alle 18:00, dal 14 settembre 2026. Due gruppi piccoli divisi per età, ognuno con la sua insegnante madrelingua.

Adulti, principianti e intermedi: il venerdì dalle 18:00 alle 19:30, dal 18 settembre 2026, nelle stesse aule.

Our year starts this week, and late enrollment is accepted.

Kearny Mesa classes for kids begin Wednesday, August 26 and Thursday, August 27. Encinitas begins Monday, September 14. If you have not signed up yet, you can still join: we take last minute and late enrollments, and there are openings in every program and every age group.

KEARNY MESA, 4550 Kearny Villa Rd, Suite 202
Italian as a New Language: Wednesdays 4-6pm, from August 26, TK through 6th grade, for children starting Italian from the beginning.
Italian for Italian Speakers: Thursdays 4:15-6:15pm, from August 27, TK through 6th grade, for children who already speak Italian.
Middle and high school levels run in the same building, and our high school credit classes are approved by San Diego Unified and San Dieguito Union High School District.
Homeschool mornings: Wednesdays 10am-12pm, from September 2, ages 4 and older. Charter school funds accepted.

ENCINITAS, San Dieguito United Methodist Church, 170 Calle Magdalena
Mondays 4-6pm, from September 14. One class for TK through 2nd grade and one for 3rd through 5th, in adjacent rooms at the same hour, so siblings come together. Free parking right next to the classrooms.

Every class is small, 5 to 10 students, two hours once a week, always with a native Italian teacher. Beginners start from zero.

Joining after the first class is fine. Tell us your child's age and level and we will help you find the right group and work out the tuition for the classes remaining.

Two free info nights: Kearny Mesa Thu Aug 13, Encinitas Tue Aug 25, both 6-7pm. Come and see the school before you enroll.

KEARNY MESA: Thursday, August 13, 6-7pm, 4550 Kearny Villa Rd, Suite 202. Free parking in the lot, right next to building 4550.

ENCINITAS: Tuesday, August 25, 6-7pm, Room 11/12 at San Dieguito United Methodist Church, 170 Calle Magdalena. Ample free parking on site.

One hour each, free, and this is an evening for parents: see the classrooms your child would sit in, meet us, and ask us anything. Please RSVP on Facebook, or email [email protected] if you are not on Facebook, so we know how many chairs to set out.

In Kearny Mesa we teach TK through 12th grade: the afternoon classes for younger children, and the accredited middle and high school program, which is certified by the San Diego Unified and San Dieguito districts and counts toward the high school language requirement, through to AP Italian preparation. In Encinitas, TK through 5th grade on Monday afternoons. Small groups of 5 to 10, always with a native Italian teacher, and beginners start from zero.

We teach adults too, including a new Friday evening class in Encinitas.

Pre-enrollment closes August 21 for Kearny Mesa and August 31 for Encinitas. No payment up front, and pre-enrollment is not binding.

Le classi di italiano per bambini dell'Italian school of San Diego stanno per ripartire, e quest'anno abbiamo una novità grande.

NOVITÀ: apriamo una seconda sede a ENCINITAS
San Dieguito United Methodist Church, 170 Calle Magdalena. Due classi piccole divise per età (TK-5th grade), il lunedì dalle 16:00 alle 18:00. Si comincia lunedì 14 settembre. Finalmente niente più viaggio fino a Kearny Mesa per le famiglie del North County.

Alla chiesa abbiamo altre aule ancora libere: se c'è interesse possiamo aprire altre classi a Encinitas, per altre età o in altri giorni. Scriveteci e diteci di cosa avreste bisogno.

A KEARNY MESA (4550 Kearny Villa Rd, Suite 202):
• Classi Heritage, per bambini che l'italiano già lo parlano: giovedì 16:15-18:15, si comincia giovedì 27 agosto
• Italiano come lingua straniera, per chi parte da zero: mercoledì 16:00-18:00, si comincia mercoledì 26 agosto
• Programma mattutino per famiglie homeschool: mercoledì 10:00-12:00, si comincia mercoledì 2 settembre

Classi da 5 a 10 bambini, tutte con insegnanti madrelingua. Ma la cosa che i genitori ci dicono più spesso è un'altra: qui i nostri figli scoprono di non essere gli unici a parlare italiano a casa, e noi genitori troviamo altre famiglie come la nostra.

NEW: our second location opens in ENCINITAS
San Dieguito United Methodist Church, 170 Calle Magdalena. Two small classes grouped by age (TK-5th grade), Mondays 4:00-6:00 PM. First class Monday, September 14. No previous Italian required.

The church has more classrooms available to us: if there is enough interest we can open additional classes in Encinitas, for other ages or on other days. Write to us and tell us what you need.

IN KEARNY MESA (4550 Kearny Villa Rd, Suite 202):
• Heritage classes, for kids who already speak Italian: Thursdays 4:15-6:15 PM, starting Thursday, August 27
• Italian as a foreign language, for kids starting from zero: Wednesdays 4:00-6:00 PM, starting Wednesday, August 26
• Homeschool morning program: Wednesdays 10:00 AM-12:00 PM, starting Wednesday, September 2 (charter funds accepted)

5 to 10 students per class, native Italian teachers. And beyond the language: it is where our kids find out they are not the only ones speaking Italian at home, and where the families find each other.
