We are proud to announce that Eric Burger, Teacher at MHA, has been named the Teacher of the Year by the Air and Space Forces Association (AFA) Brigadier General Robert Cardenas Chapter!

This prestigious award is presented to educators who demonstrate excellence in teaching and a commitment to advancing education in math and sciences. Beyond this local honor, Mr. Burger has also been recognized at the state level for his outstanding contributions to our students.

A big round of applause to Mr. Burger for representing our commitment to educational excellence so well. Congratulations on this well-deserved achievement!

Families are invited to join Mt. Helix Academy for our upcoming Open House on Saturday, February 7, with campus tours offered at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Located in the heart of La Mesa, Mt. Helix Academy is an independent school serving students from TK through 8th grade, known for its strong academics, close-knit community, and emphasis on character development, leadership, and whole-child education.

During the Open House, prospective families will have the opportunity to tour our scenic campus, visit classrooms, meet faculty and administrators, and learn more about our academic programs, enrichment opportunities, and supportive school culture.

Congrats to Hillary Whiteside, TIEE's Executive Director, for being a finalist for San Diego Magazine's Celebrating Women Pioneer Award!
Hillary was nominated by Tracey Franks, a longtime TIEE parent whose adult son has been attending TIEE schools and programs since elementary school. Hillary is being recognized for her incredible leadership and lifelong impact in education.

Workshop at COOK students, staff, and families had a blast celebrating the end of the school year! We hosted a Luau with delicious food and traditional Polynesian dancers! It was such an amazing experience!
