Meet Léa, our Kindergarten teacher.
If you ask her students what they love most about school, chances are her name will come up more than once. Léa brings an incredible warmth to her classroom. She makes children feel welcome, capable, and important from the very first day. Her students know they can take risks, make mistakes, ask questions, and always find encouragement waiting for them. The result is a classroom full of confidence, laughter, friendship, and learning.
Some teachers teach lessons, others leave a lasting impression. We’re all lucky to have Léa 💛

There are days when our classrooms become something else entirely. Last Friday, they became a world of hot air balloons, imagination, and discovery. The children built, observed, asked questions, and tested ideas, one of the many ways learning comes to life at ACDL 🎈

Yesterday, we welcomed families into our classrooms for a special Parent Celebration. From shared activities and handmade gifts to conversations over a sweet treat, it was a wonderful opportunity to slow down and spend time together. This gave children the chance to share their classroom, their work, and a moment of their day with the people they love most! We are so grateful to the families who are part of our community and help make ACDL such a special place 💛

Yesterday, our Toddlers and TPS classes brought the coast into the classroom. Thanks to a visit from the Living Coast Discovery Center, the children had the opportunity to observe and interact with real tide pool animals up close.
Tiny hands, curious eyes, and so many questions. Sometimes the most memorable discoveries happen when children can experience them for themselves!

Some of the most important parts of the day happen outside. The running, the conversations, the games they invent together, the small disagreements, the friendships that grow little by little.
This is where so much learning happens, even when it doesn’t look like a lesson!

A day outside the classroom, surrounded by sea life, nature, and a lot of curiosity. Yesterday’s trip to gave our students the chance to explore, observe, ask questions, and experience something new together. One of the highlights of the day was learning more about crabs: how they live, protect themselves, and adapt to their environment. The children were fascinated and even got to touch some of these crabs!!

One letter at a time, adjusting every curve carefully. They take their work seriously, even at five years old.

Yesterday’s visitors were hard to miss 🚒
Not every day includes a fire truck, flashing lights, and firefighters walking through the school. Our Toddlers and Toute Petite Section classes had the chance to meet local firefighters, got an up-close look at a real life fire truck, and experience something completely out of the ordinary. Very exciting, a little intimidating but mostly unforgettable!
A very big thanks to Fire Station 23 from the for the amazing memories!!
