MBHS Homecoming Game Admission Reminder
Dear Families and Community,
As a reminder, middle school students attending MBHS football games must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or responsible adult in order to enter the game.
This expectation remains in place as part of our ongoing safety and supervision procedures. Adults accompanying middle school students are expected to remain at the game and provide supervision for the duration of their attendance.
Middle school students who arrive without adult supervision will not be admitted.
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping us maintain a safe, positive, and family-friendly environment at our football games.
Thank you for your support and Go Bucs!
~Dr. Eric Brown

Meet our Individuals and Societies (INS) Team. Mr. Elliott teaches 7th and 8th grades, Ms. McElroy teaches 6th & 8th grades, Ms. Araico teaches 6th grade, Mr. Schulze teaches 7th grade. Mrs. Sheets is not pictured, she teaches INS in Mandarin for our immersion students.

🌍 What is "Individuals and Societies" in the IB Middle Years Programme?

Think of it as social studies — reimagined for a global world! In this class, your student explores:

📚 History, geography, economics, and civics — connected, not siloed
🤔 How to think critically about different perspectives and whose stories get told
🔗 How local issues connect to what's happening globally
💡 Real-world inquiry — students ask their own questions and dig for answers, not just memorize facts
🌱 Their role as engaged, thoughtful members of their community

The goal? Raising curious, empathetic thinkers who understand the world — and their place in it. This is also the foundation for skills your student uses in their 8th-grade Community Project, where they identify a real need and take action. 💪
