🐘🐊What a week. We had so much to toot our trunks about. Great week of learning new things about God’s amazing world. Sweet devotionals, silly songs and messy art. I will miss my graduating Kind Koalas so much. God’s grace to you all in this next season. My love and prayers to each of you. 🐨 Looking forward to a new season beginning with a new Kind Koala class. 🐨

🐞 The Best Classroom Doesn’t Always Have Four Walls 🌿

Today our preschoolers became little scientists, explorers, and engineers—all because they were searching for bugs on the playground!

They carefully looked under logs, peeked beneath leaves, and searched around tree roots, excited to see what they might discover. When they found roly-polies, they gently held them, watched them curl into tiny balls, and let them crawl across their hands.

To many people, it may look like “just playing.” But so much learning is happening!

✨ They are developing curiosity.
✨ They are learning to observe and ask questions.
✨ They are building patience and problem-solving skills.
✨ They are strengthening fine motor skills.
✨ They are learning to care for God’s amazing creation.

At Christ The Cornerstone Preschool, we believe some of the best learning happens outdoors, where children can wonder, explore, and discover the incredible world God created.

As we begin our school year with our theme from Psalm 139:14—“I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”—we’re reminded that every child, and even the tiniest roly-poly, reflects God’s wonderful design.

💚 Childhood is meant to be filled with muddy hands, curious minds, joyful discoveries, and moments of awe.

🌳 Little Engineers at Work!

What started as a simple discovery in our playground turned into an incredible lesson in teamwork and problem-solving.

The children found a stubborn root growing near one of our trees and were determined to figure out how to remove it. They tried sticks, rakes, twisting it, and pulling with all their strength, but nothing worked.

Then one child had an idea.

“What if we all work together?”

Without any prompting from the teachers, the children lined up, held onto each other’s waists, and pulled together, just like in The Enormous Turnip. They combined their strength, encouraged one another, and refused to give up.

Whether or not the root came out wasn’t the most important part.

What mattered was watching the children think critically, test new ideas, collaborate, communicate, and discover that sometimes the best solutions come when we work together.

These are the moments that make preschool so special. ❤️

🐨🦈Wow, fabulous week learning all about sharks. We were amazed by God’s thoughtful creation of these wonderful critters. The children enjoyed counting, sorting, games, word building, creating habitats, beautiful books and creative art opportunities. Our last day of Preschool for the 2025-2026 school year is on Friday, July 31, 2026. The first day of Preschool for the 2026-2027 school year is Monday, August 10, 2026. We can’t wait to see what God has in store for the TK this upcoming school year!🐨

Happy Birthday America 🇺🇸. This week we learned about our country, our flag, and eagles. We prayed for our leaders and God’s hand on America. 🐨🇺🇸

⛵️🐨The Kind Koalas sailed into transportation week learning about peace from Jesus, a boat and a storm. ⛵️So many learning opportunites with fun songs,creative art and silly science. 🐨

👷🏼‍♀️The Kind Koalas have learned, explored and discovered so much during our builders week. 👷🏽 We checked out how God designs with our microscope,what the Bible has to say about building with an object lesson,how we can design and create, and then just be silly with sand and water ice cream. 👷🏻‍♂️
