Please join us in welcoming Adrienne Van Gorden as the new Principal of Heather Elementary School!

Adrienne brings 30 years of experience in public education, including 12 years as a school administrator supporting elementary and middle school communities. She is passionate about fostering inclusive learning environments and has extensive experience overseeing TK, preschool, general education, and special education programs.

We’re excited to welcome Adrienne to the San Carlos School District and look forward to the leadership, experience, and care she will bring to the Heather community. Welcome, Adrienne! 💙

🍉 Summer Registration | June 22 – August 10, 2026 🍉

New to San Carlos School District for the 2026–27 school year? Welcome!

Although school offices close for the summer beginning Thursday, June 18, new student registration will remain available online through PowerSchool Enrollment.

Register Early: Due to high demand and limited capacity, Transitional Kindergarten (TK), Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 6th grade are nearing enrollment limits. Student placement is determined on a first-come, first-served basis once all required registration documents have been submitted and verified.

We encourage families to complete the registration process as soon as possible to maximize placement opportunities.

☀️ School’s out and summer is here! We hope all of our San Carlos School District students, families, and staff enjoy a fun, restful, and adventure-filled break.

Please note that school offices will be closed for the summer from June 19 through August 10. While offices are closed, new student registration will continue to be available online through PowerSchool Enrollment.

Congratulations to Ms. Tinney's class for winning the Third Grade Paper Clip Challenge with 982 paperclips. Students earned a paper clip for every vocabulary word used. Thanks Miss Natalie for running such a fun contest!
