Earlier this week, the San Carlos City Council recognized members of the Tierra Linda Speech and Debate team.

Through its Speech and Debate Program, Tierra Linda Middle School provides students with opportunities to develop critical reasoning, effective questioning, argumentation and rebuttal, and public speaking skills

Welcome to the neighborhood! Last week SCEF hosted New Family Socials for all four of our elementary schools — Heather, Arundel, Brittan Acres, and White Oaks — to welcome incoming families to the San Carlos School District community and introduce them to SCEF.

We were glad to have school principals, PTA presidents, members of the SCSD Board of Trustees, and Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Frentress on hand to say hello and connect with new families as they got to know their school community before the year kicks off.

A huge thank you to the generous families who opened their homes to host each event, and to everyone who helped make these evenings so welcoming. Here's to a great year ahead!
