Principal Spotlight: Ms. Schwarz ⭐️ Katie Schwarz brings more than 30 years of experience in Special Education. Her background includes a bachelor’s degree in Theater, a multiple subject teaching credential, a Learning Handicapped Specialist credential, and a Master of Science in Educational Psychology. She has served as an instructional assistant, classroom teacher, department chair, and Program Specialist across public high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools. Katie also provides parent support on IEPs, assessments, and related topics, and she is proud to serve as each child’s cheerleader and champion for success. Arbor Bay is so lucky to have her!

At Arbor Bay School we ensure students feel safe and heard when they need a break. Our Principal Ms. Schwarz has made her office into a Student Center with a comfort couch and learning table. We aim to provide students with different spaces to reset and relax so they can return to class successfully. We don’t believe in “getting sent to the principal’s office” we believe in support and comfort for all of our students! ⭐️

Teacher Spotlight: Mrs. Molina ⭐️ Jenny Molina began at Arbor Bay as an after-school staff member before becoming an assistant teacher. Over time, she completed her bachelor’s degree in Child Development and joined a teaching credential program. Now Mrs. Molina is our loving lead teacher in Room A, which is our youngest classroom. She is known for differentiating instruction and creating hands-on, engaging lessons that bring joy, warmth, and inclusion to her classroom.

This week at Arbor Bay we are starting PERFORMING ARTS! All of our students will get the chance to engage with music, dance, and theater once a week with our Performing Arts Teacher, Teacher Mandy. Arbor Bay offers several enrichment classes each week. This Thursday we begin Performing Arts and our other enrichments start the following week. Teacher Spotlight: Mr. Morgan ⭐️ Jay Morgan is the lead teacher in Room B, serving Arbor Bay’s middle school students. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Child Development and is currently completing his mild/moderate teaching credential at the College of Notre Dame. Jay is passionate about bird watching, Bay Area sports, and music, and those interests often show up in his lessons. His classroom helps students build maturity, responsibility, and readiness for life after Arbor Bay.

We are getting so excited to kick off the 2026-2027 school year in just 7 DAYS!!!! If you are eager to meet your teacher or visit ABS before the year begins, you are in luck. Families with students in Room B are invited to briefly visit on Thursday 8/20 anytime from 1-3pm. If you have a student in Room A or Room C, we invite you to briefly stop by on Friday 8/21 anytime from 1-3pm. Our new and returning staff are so excited to see you! ⭐️
