🌼 Share a memory. Celebrate a life.

Help bring John Muir’s Community Ofrenda to life by honoring a loved one who has passed away. Send a photocopy of their photo to your child’s teacher by **October 28**. You may also include a completed remembrance card.

Please label each item with your child’s name and teacher.

🕯️ Our Community Ofrenda will be on display **November 2–6 in the MPR**—a special way to share memories and celebrate loved ones together.

🍎 Join and this weekend for a Living Campus workday! Saturday, October 10th from 9am–12pm at 130 Cambridge Lane in San Bruno. John Muir Elementary is their new SBPSD site partner this year as they’re just getting started planning their garden expansion 🍂 We’ll be cleaning up an outdoor classroom space, basic landscaping and making some seed balls!

🎲What: SBEF Community Bingo Night, with Snack Bar run by John Muir’s 2027 5th Grade Committee
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Who Should Attend: All San Bruno families - not just John Muir families (kids are welcome!), community members & bingo lovers!
🗓 When: Fri. Oct. 2, 5:30-6pm for food and bingo sales; games from 6-8pm

Family Volunteer Day is next month! And what better way to get into the spirit than by giving back together as a family?

Join John Muir families Sunday, November 15 as we team up with the Pacific Beach Coalition to help clean our local coastline and learn about this year’s Earth Honoree — the nudibranch! 🌎🐌

🚨 WE DID IT! 🎉 We hit our $45,000 goal!

We are incredibly grateful for the amazing outpouring of support, especially the flurry of donations that came in overnight. THANK YOU, Jaguar families! This truly was a community effort, and we couldn’t have reached this milestone without you! 💙🐾

And there’s more to celebrate — Popsicle Parties are officially unlocked for EVERY class!

Fregoso and Baker are each just ONE participating family away from being entered into the Boba & Movie drawing. Let’s keep the momentum going and get every class across the finish line!

IT’S THE EVE OF THE LAST DAY! 🎉
And yes, I promise — I, too, am looking forward to talking about something other than the Donation Drive. 😂 But we are so ridiculously close that I have to give you one more update (ok probably one more after this)!
💙 $44,680 raised — 99% of our $45,000 goal!
That means we are just $320 AWAY!

🍧 16 classes have officially reached 60% participation!
And we still have two classes right on the edge:
Fregoso — 1 more family!
Baker — 2 more families!

Burns currently leads PTA Memberships, while Easley leads Total Dollars Raised — but there’s still one full day for things to move.

Tomorrow is the LAST DAY. Donate, join the PTA, grab a Marquee Message, use that employer match — whatever gets us across that finish line!

We’ve made it this far, Jaguars. ONE DAY. LET’S FINISH THIS. 🐆💙

🎉 SBEF COMMUNITY BINGO NIGHT!

A quick note from John Muir PTA: This is not a PTA fundraiser — we’re simply using our social media to help support our Jaguars! 💙🐾 John Muir’s 2027 5th Grade Committee will be running the snack bar, with snack bar proceeds supporting our 5th graders.
