We’ve just wrapped up our DACA Clinic for today. Thank you to Jocelyn Velasquez and Areli Lopez, our campus legal team for supporting our community this Saturday morning. While we provide legal services via Zoom, preparing applications in person helps to move things along faster and it’s just nicer to see you all face to face. Plus, we get to enjoy donuts together!

Immigration isn’t just a Latinx issue

That’s why the USSC is exited to bring this film - Blue Bayou - to campus! We’ll be showing it in the SMSU South Theater on loop next week.

About the film, “Antonio LeBlanc is a Korean adoptee raised in a small town in the Louisiana bayou. He's married to the love of his life, Kathy, and raising his beloved stepdaughter, Jessie. Struggling to make a better life for his family, he must soon confront the ghosts of his past after learning that he could be deported from the only country he's ever called home.”
