For Asia, attending CSUSB means she is part of something bigger than herself and she is closer to reaching her goals.

Congratulations to Alberto Jasso '15 for receiving the Emerging Leaders Award at the 2024 Alumni Hall of Fame!

Alberto credits his first job as student assistant at the SMSU for helping him develop the career skills necessary to climb the ladder and fill his current role as the director of strategic philanthropy for the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. He says helped him gain the confidence to become a leader!

The partnership named Work Force Innovation Technology Hubs Cyber, also known as WITH Cyber, aims to address the shortage of professionals in the field of cybersecurity. Awarded $2 million dollars, WITH Cyber is determined to increase the workforce throughout all levels of education in California!

Tejada's passion of about the 'art of teaching' and his work ethic led him to where he is today, a demonstration teacher who mentors other teachers throughout the San Bernardino City Unified School District. His tenacity helped him overcome many issues he faced growing up and led him to BA in mathematics at Cal State San Bernardino in 2016 followed by a single-subject credential in mathematics in 2017.๐Ÿบ

A huge round of applause for Alumnus Walker Beverly 18' for creating a nonprofit for the formerly incarcerated!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’™

Beverly is not defined by his past but by his FUTURE! Following his incarceration, Walker was awarded a Master of Arts in Communication from ! Walker found support in the university's Project Rebound program, which assists formerly incarcerated students in college, leading him to create his own nonprofit to aid the formerly incarcerated with reintegrating into society.

His nonprofit has led four students to the College of the Desert! Two of them plan to transfer to CSUSB through Project Rebound.๐Ÿ™Œ

A huge congratulations to assistant professor Francis Almendรกrez, whose work is now featured in an exhibit at the Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art!

The exhibition includes work from his ongoing series "Worker Pants" and a reinstallation of "rhythm and (p)leisure". Almendรกrez's work brings together complex ideas and images that challenge the dominant narrative and create a safe-space for all kinds of representation.
