The objectives of the SBVC Classified Senate are as follows:

Facilitate communication among students, staff, faculty, administrators and the surrounding community. Promote equal treatment of and respect for classified staff by recognizing and appreciating their value and contribution to the learning environment and campus community. Create shared responsibility and accountability, by promoting the participation of classified staff in collegial consultation.
