Trip Recap
Learn to Snowboard
February 4, 2024

The morning began with a short drive up to Snow Valley. The change of scenery is great to witness. We left the urban sprawl of the IE behind and made our way up to the snowy mountains. Snow Valley is a perfect resort for both beginner and advanced riders. The beginners in our group were taught by patient and knowledgeable instructors at the resort. Those who already knew how to snowboard enjoyed a pleasant day on the slopes.

This was our last Learn to Snowboard of the season, but we are still renting snowboard gear so you can plan your own adventure.

Snow Valley stands as a hidden gem nestled in the San Bernardino Mountains, strategically positioned between Running Springs and Big Bear. Departing from campus at 7:30 a.m., our short drive up the hill promises an escape from the bustling slopes of Bear Mountain and Snow Summit. Snow Valley offers the perfect blend of snowy slopes and a fantastic deck for relaxation. Whether you're a beginner in need of lessons or a seasoned rider seeking an excellent deal on rentals and lift tickets, this trip is tailored just for you. Thanks to the guidance of our expert instructors, each participant was able to grow and begin to gain confidence in their own snowboarding skill. We took our time learning the basics of how to stand on a snowboard, turning properly, how to stop, and one of the participants even hit a jump. Snow Valley's diverse terrain ensured there was something for everyone, from conquering beginner slopes to embracing the challenge of advanced runs, each descent providing a unique sense of accomplishment. After we learn the basics from our instructor, we have the rest of the day to ourselves, where we head down their array of hills. After a certain amount of time, we called it a day, went got lunch at Victoria's Cafe, and started our descent home. Snow Valley isn't just a destination, it's an ongoing journey of excitement, skill-building, and camaraderie that awaits your return! 🌨️🏂
