Cajon Speech & Debate news – bling, bling! Saturday at our 1st league speech tournament which was held at Yucaipa HS …
Our novices were amazing: our newbies brought home a 3rd place medal in Humorous Interpretation, 2nd place medals in Extemporaneous Speaking and in Original Prose-Poetry, 1st place in Dramatic Interpretation and in Oratorical Interpretation.
And our varsity division was terrific as well: our oldbie won 3rd place in Original Prose-Poetry, 2nd place in Duo Interpretation and in Expository Speaking, and 1st place in Thematic Interpretation!
Much thanks to Dany Doueiri, Chris Kirkpatrick, Roberto Ballentine, Michael Cholbi, Hannah Fezjic and seniors for judging! It was a great day :)

We had 15 students break to semi-finals which will be held tomorrow - 3 broke in two events AND 3 of the breaks were novices. Way to go Calena Ang, Justine Chau, Phillip Chau, Isabel Cholbi, Sahrai Garcia, Niah Handy, Rosario Henriquez, Vicky, Jonathan Marsden, Natalie M, Rocky Rivera, Melody Satele, Taylor Stewart, Jonathan Virgen, and Sara-Ann!

We drove straight up to the Bay Area, visited San Jose State, and now we're getting ready for tomorrow's competition in the Dempsey-Cronin Invitational at Santa Clara University.
