PCA Charter Academy Middle School Celebrates Graduation
PCA School News
PAL Charter Academy's Middle School students celebrated a memorable graduation ceremony yesterday in front of proud families, friends, staff, and supporters. The event marked an important milestone as students were recognized for their hard work, perseverance, academic achievements, and personal growth.
The ceremony was led by Associate Head of Schools Jason Patterson, who congratulated the graduates and thanked parents for entrusting PAL Charter Academy with their children's education.
The keynote speaker, Dr. Gwen Dowdy-Rodgers of the San Bernardino County Board of Education, encouraged students to embrace the opportunities that await them in high school while remembering the valuable lessons, experiences, and relationships they developed during their time at PCA Middle School.
One of the highlights of the ceremony was a special performance by the eighth-grade class, who sang a song in Mandarin under the direction of PCA teacher Han Bao. The performance was warmly received by the audience and showcased the students' dedication and talent.
Executive Director Dwaine Radden Sr. also addressed the crowd and announced the winner of the annual Money Cake Contest. He thanked all participating students for their outstanding essays, noting that the quality of the writing was exceptional. Students Denim and Hassan tied by correctly guessing the amount hidden in the cake and each received $126 to help kick off their summer.
Throughout the ceremony, graduates were applauded for their accomplishments and growth, while family members and loved ones cheered them on as they received their certificates. The event was filled with pride, excitement, and reflection as students celebrated the completion of an important chapter in their educational journey.
PAL Charter Academy congratulates the Middle School Class of 2026 and wishes them continued success as they take the next step toward a bright future.

PCA SOD/SOS Students Focus on Responsibility and Respect
PCA Middle School News
PAL Charter Academy’s SOD/SOS students recently participated in meaningful discussions centered on affirmations, responsibility, and making positive life choices. The session encouraged both male and female students to understand the importance of being proactive by handling responsibilities before focusing on personal wants.
Students were reminded to make decisions based on what they know and feel is right, respectful, and responsible. The conversations emphasized accountability, self-respect, and thinking carefully about how choices can affect their future, relationships, and personal growth.
Mr. Burkes led the discussion using “Teen Talk Television” scenarios that presented real-life situations and circumstances many young people may face. Students were encouraged to analyze each scenario, discuss possible outcomes, and think critically about the decisions being made. The activity helped students practice problem-solving skills while learning how to respond to challenging situations with maturity and respect.
The session created an open environment where students could share opinions, ask questions, and reflect on the importance of making wise choices both inside and outside of school. Through these conversations, students gained valuable life lessons focused on responsibility, respect, communication, and personal development.

PCA ECHS Program host workshop
Today the PCA Early College High School program held a critical workshop for student. The session was led by program staff, Ms. Jasmin Alas, focused on overcoming procrastination and managing stress. Students engaged in meaningful discussions about building better habits, setting goals, and developing strategies for success.
Balancing both college and high school coursework can be challenging, and time management is often one of the biggest hurdles our students face. Through the ECHS Program, we are committed to supporting each student as they work toward earning free college credit while still in high school.
Program Director, Ms. Erin Duong, shared, “We are so proud of the work our students continue to put into reaching their goals.”
To celebrate their participation, students even took home prizes, hopefully giving them a chance to relax, enjoy a good movie, and treat themselves along the way!
If you or your student is interested in partaking in this amazing opportunity please give Ms. Erin Duong a call at (909) 887-7002 ext. 446
