Teamwork makes the dream work! ✨
We're dedicating this Tech Tip Thursday to appreciating all the amazing staff supporting our schools. Your hard work behind the scenes is seen and valued.
🗓 Remember: This Staff Appreciation Week, use your tech to say thanks! Send a quick "Thank You" email or digital card. It only takes a moment to make someone's day!
Stay sharp and stay safe!
This week's Tech Tip Thursday covers Email Security. Learn how to identify and protect yourself and your students from phishing attempts.
🛡️ Email Security Best Practices
Use these steps to verify any suspicious emails:
• Check the Sender: Does the email address look official? Scammers often use addresses that are slightly off, like canva.co instead of canva.com.
• Verify the Content: Are they asking for sensitive information like your SS number, DoB, or Employee ID? Reputable companies will not ask for this via email.
• Confirm Directly: If you're unsure, don't click any links in the email. Instead, visit the official website directly through your browser or call the company using a number you find on their official site.
• Report It: If you receive a phishing email, report it to your I.T. department to help keep everyone safe. Gmail has a built-in button that can report the email, and offer to block the sender.

Building bridges through technology is what AET is all about. 🌐✨
Our latest SETC (Site Ed Tech Coach) training was a deep dive into the world of A.I., bringing together experts from across the district to explore how high-tech tools can have a high-touch impact.
While the day was packed with innovation, one standout session featured Robert Carlson, who showcased HeyGen. Robert demonstrated how A.I. translation can be a game-changer for our multilingual community, allowing educators to communicate with families in their native languages and ensuring no student or parent is left behind.
A massive thank you to our incredible lineup of presenters—Chris K., Nathaniel M., Sean, and Jodi—for sharing their expertise! Each brought a unique perspective to the table, and we can’t wait to spotlight more of their work soon.
Shoutout to our dedicated Site Ed Tech Coaches for being the boots-on-the-ground leaders who bring this training back to our SBCUSD campuses. Together, we’re empowering teachers and humanizing technology!
