Arroyo Valley High School, part of the San Bernardino City Unified School District, is officially a new addition to the program towards Dual Enrollment for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. The students on this picture are rank top in their class and plan to complete the training program, while in High School, and start a Pharmacy Club at there school. We want to thank the students parents for their support and advocacy.

We want to thank Mrs. Lee and Mr. Linares for their dedication teaching at a High School within San Bernardino City Unified School District. Today, they went over a wide-range of materials to prepare the students for the final. In close, they extended a warm welcome to a new addition to the TEAM, Mrs. Alvarez - who will be teaching in the upcoming fiscal year.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Ana Lopez Zambrano (SBVC Pharm Tech Graduate Fall 2022) for being accepted as the first student from the partnership between San Bernardino Valley College Pharmacy Technology Training Program and Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy into the Class of 2028. This collaboration has marked a significant milestone as Loma Linda University becomes the first nationwide pharmacy school to host an HRSA Hispanic Center of Excellence (HCEP). With a mission to empower the Latinx community through education and training opportunities, increasing Hispanic representation in the pharmacy field, and tackling minority health disparities in San Bernardino, Riverside, and Los Angeles Counties, this achievement is a testament to the dedication and commitment of both institutions in nurturing future pharmacists.

Loma Linda University, Pharmacy of School - held a Health Fair. Mrs. Ontiveros - shared an overview of the program to hundreds of visitors. She had an opportunity to speak with a Mariachi, who's currently in the program and will graduate in May 2024.

The 2024 - SBVC Counselors Conference was a huge hit. There were over 40 High School Counselors from Rialto, Fontana, Colton, San Bernardino, Redlands, and Yucaipa District. We want to thank Mrs. Ontiveros for providing an overview of the program.

We would like to thank the Principal at San Gorgonio High School for allowing us to host a FAFSA workshop. We assisted over 20 seniors who will continue in the Pharmacy program in the fall. Shout out to the Counselors at that campus for their ongoing support.

Today - San Gorgonio High School hosted Spartan Day to invite three different Middle Schools to know about clubs on campus and sign-up for pharmacy courses. Our team recorded 68 interested students, as we're working on a 5-year Strategic Plan towards recruitment. In addition, there's a dozen current students at San Gorgonio that have completed the 06x series in two semesters, which will complete the program in mid-December, and decided to put the incoming students a show, as they're in Folklorico.

Mrs. Rad - teaches at Loma Linda University, School of Pharmacy on behalf of the SBVC Pharmacy Technology Program. She currently has 34 students in Pharmacy Systems l. Her MOTTO in the class is to have the students present what they learn before the class is over. She does this each week because it leads to preparing the students for upcoming quizzes or exams. KUDOS to Mrs. RAD for all her efforts.

We're thrilled to partner with Legacy Bridges Foundation, Inc. We hosted a Clothing Drive at San Bernardino Valley College (SBVC), in which new clothes and blankets will be donated to students in need from SBVC. We want to thank those that supported this great cause.

Senior Day at A.B. Miller in Fontana was a huge success! Not only did we meet with new teachers and staff, but also new students whom plan on making San Bernardino Valley College (SBVC) their home in education next year. We assisted over 50 students in applying to SBVC, as they're interested in pursuing a Certificate of Achievement in Pharmacy. We look forward to seeing some students in the summer and fall of 2024.

We celebrated Career Day at Kimbark Elementary in San Bernardino. A couple friends joined us too; Prince from the office of the Majority Leader - Assemblymember, Eloise Gomez Reyes and San Bernardino City Unified School District - Board Member, Mary Ellen. We met with over 400 students and spoke to them on the importance of higher education.

We're extremely thankful to have been part of the STEAM Expo today - hosted by the Colton Joint Unified School District (CJUSD). We had an opportunity to meet with over 200 students, teachers, staff, and Board Members. Moreover, we guided students to the steps for enrollment. We look forward to welcoming a dozen students this semester from CJUSD into the program.

Today - we were invited to speak to students at Cajon High School that are currently in the Pharm Tech Program (Dual Enrollment); that plan on completing the program at the SBVC campus once they graduate from High School. We anticipate 27 students in the fall of 2024.
