CDPH will use the PfizerNTech vaccine, permitted for ages 5- 18+. The vaccination clinic is open to eligible HBCP scholars and their families, staff, and the public. To foster responsible and respectful behavior in both children and adults, problem-solving must take the place of punishment. Punishment is a coercive manipulative tactic used to get children to do what they want. It contributes nothing to the development of character or empathy. It is one of the factors that contribute to the development of bullies. Fear and coercion do not teach children. Their unacceptable behavior indicates that they are experiencing a problem rather than being a problem.

Examine a child's homework after finishing it to make sure it's complete and correct. If your child is struggling in a subject and you're unsure how to help him, look for a tutor who can take the time to walk them through their work step by step. When you've finished your schoolwork, don't forget to compliment him on a well-done job!

Good home routines will limit distractions and keep schoolwork at the forefront of your mind throughout the school year. Begin by instilling a love of reading in your child by keeping an extensive collection of interesting books at home and reading together regularly. Allow them to see you reading frequently and going to the library to explore the many exciting subjects together.

Next, limit activities at home that will divert your child's attention away from his academic responsibilities. In most American households, watching television and playing video games consume more hours than homework. Similarly, teach them to use the Internet for constructive purposes such as research and limit the amount of time they spend randomly surfing the web.
