Operation New Hope Youth Opportunity Centers

Operation New Hope Youth Opportunity Centers What we do: Out-of-school youth often seek services from community based organizations or public agencies.

ONH Youth Opportunity Centers: Specializing in life skills, vocational/career pathway education, credit recovery, behavioral modification, High School Diploma / Credit Recovery, food pantry, and array of essential life resources. Understanding the challenges of this population, Operation New Hope (ONH), in 2010, formed a successful collaboration to create a Youth Opportunity Center to provide mean

ingful life skill resources for disadvantaged youth. As a result, ONH was able to stimulate, sustain and engage “dropout” youth into comprehensive services in San Bernardino County. Since 2010: 5867 students have completed our Career Pathway Program, 465 have graduated with an accredited high school diploma; 83% entered employment, enrolled in higher education or technical schools.

📄✨ Building Resumes, Building Futures!

Yesterday, our participants took part in a Resume Building Workshop with Mr. Noel Price, where they learned what employers look for when reviewing a resume and how to make a strong first impression.

Participants explored the differences between effective and ineffective resumes, reviewed examples, and learned about the importance of making their experience and skills stand out. They also discussed how employers may spend only about 7 seconds initially reviewing a resume—making those first few moments count!

A huge thank you to Mr. Noel Price for sharing his knowledge and helping our participants build the skills and confidence they need to take the next step toward their career goals!

🌟 Empowering Youth. Strengthening Futures. 🌟
Operation New Hope was honored to participate in the San Bernardino County Workforce Development Department’s Annual Case Management Training and Summer Youth Conference.
Hosted by the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, the event brought together workforce professionals dedicated to helping young people build the skills and confidence they need to succeed. The morning session on Work-Ready Youth: Curriculum, Facilitation, and WIOA Service Delivery provided valuable insights into youth engagement, employability skills development, and effective WIOA service delivery.
We are especially proud of Coaches Melody Ridoloso, Monique Hernandez, and Rayme Quezada, who concluded the day by sharing highlights and lessons learned from Operation New Hope’s WIOA Youth Forward Program. Their presentation reflected the power of mentorship, collaboration, and workforce readiness in creating meaningful opportunities for youth.
Thank you to our community partners for their continued investment in the next generation. Together, we are creating pathways to success and transforming lives.
✨ Building skills. Inspiring confidence. Changing futures.

Fear
Each of us knows that one of life’s greatest enemies is fear. Fear can keep us from moving forward, growing, and embracing the opportunities God places before us.
When we identify our fears and call them by name, we begin to take away their power. Understanding the source of our fear gives us direction, purpose, and a path toward healing.

Psalm 18 reminds us that God is our strength, our protector, and our refuge in times of trouble. As we reflect on its spiritual meaning, we can begin to release our fears and place our trust where it belongs.
God helps those who turn to Him for guidance and support. As the saying goes:
“We turn our will over to the care of God.”

Today, let go of the fear that holds you back and embrace the peace that comes from faith, courage, and trust.

Always forward never back.
Peace,
Bill Degnan
