Grizzlies in Action: Intervention with Intention!

At Jones, we’re not waiting until February or March 2027 to prepare our scholars for CAASPP we started on Day 1! During intervention, our scholars are learning test-taking strategies and practicing how to successfully complete narrative, informational, and opinion Performance Tasks. We’re building confidence, stamina, and success NOW!

Our Kindergarten Teacher Assistants do SO much each day to support our scholars, teachers, and classrooms. They are an important part of our Jones Grizzly Family!

On Friday, we caught Mrs. Joseph providing intentional one-on-one support to one of our little Grizzlies as he worked on learning and identifying his alphabet letters.

These small-group and one-on-one moments make a BIG difference! Thank you, Mrs. Joseph, and all of our amazing Teacher Assistants for your patience, dedication, and love for our scholars.

Today was the SBCUSD Black Honor Roll, and WE HAD A TIME!

This special celebration recognized scholars for their academic accomplishments:
⭐ Scholars who met or exceeded standards on the 2026 CAASPP
⭐ High school scholars who earned a 3.0 GPA or higher
⭐ Our younger scholars who were recognized for their accomplishments on the NWEA assessment

We are incredibly proud of our Jones Grizzlies who were recognized today! A HUGE shout-out to our Jones educators and staff members who showed up to celebrate, encourage, and love on our scholars. Your presence mattered! Thank you to our parents who continue to love on their babies!

And Jones had an extra-special moment! Three of our amazing scholars Promise, Forever, and Georgina took the stage and beautifully recited “Hey Black Child.” They did a PHENOMENAL job, and we could not be prouder!

📣 TK Families: Join Us for Lunch! 📣

Join your TK student for lunch on Friday, September 25! Bring your child their favorite meal and enjoy this special lunchtime together.
Parent arrival/check-in begins at 12:00 p.m.
Students are dismissed to lunch at 12:10 p.m.
Lunch ends at 12:30 p.m.
All visitors must present a valid ID and check in through Raptor at the front office. Students will return to class after lunch, and all parents/visitors must exit campus when lunch is over. We kindly ask that no additional siblings attend.

Kindergarten: April 16, 11:45 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
1st Grade: October 23, 11:45 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
2nd Grade: November 13, 11:45 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
