At San Bernardino High School, math is not only being taught — it’s being applied to real-world learning! 📐☀️

It was great to see math in action as students took advantage of the beautiful weather by heading outside to collect measurements of the updated Performing Arts Center using a variety of tools and techniques. Students calculated angles, shadow lengths, and other factors to determine accurate measurements of the building’s high walls.

What a creative and engaging way to apply mathematical concepts in an authentic setting while enjoying an amazing day on campus! Opportunities like these help students connect classroom learning to real-life problem solving and future career skills.

Great things are happening at SBHS!

At Indian Springs High School, Ms. Sagasta continues to bring excitement and energy to AP U.S. History! 📚

Not only is she an engaging and passionate history teacher throughout the school year, but on the day of the AP Exam, her students showed their enthusiasm and school spirit by dressing in costumes before the exam (removed before testing, of course!). It was a fun and memorable way to build excitement and confidence before taking on such a rigorous challenge.

AP Exams are demanding and require dedication, preparation, and perseverance. But with the right positive attitude, support from outstanding teachers, and a little fun along the way, students are ready to rise to the occasion!

We are proud of the hard work and commitment shown by both Ms. Sagasta and her students. Best wishes to all students taking AP Exams this season!

SBCUSD AP Calculus Collaborative at CSUSB 📚➗

Six Saturdays throughout the school year, dedicated AP Calculus students from across SBCUSD high schools come together voluntarily to sharpen their skills and prepare for success on the AP Calculus exam.

Hosted in partnership with the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, the CSU San Bernardino Math Department, and the Center for the Enhancement of Mathematics Education (CEME), this collaborative provides students with targeted support, including:
• Test-taking strategies
• Focused AP problem-solving sessions
• Direct instruction from CSUSB math faculty

We are grateful for our AP Calculus teachers who give their time on weekends to support, guide, and inspire students. Their commitment makes opportunities like this possible.

We also extend our appreciation to our Secondary Education Program Specialists and staff for coordinating these efforts with our AP teachers and for their hands-on support each Saturday.

This partnership reflects the power of collaboration and reinforces that SBCUSD is truly a serious institution of academics.

SBCUSD high schools continue to prove that we are a serious institution of academics, where futures are built and celebrated. 🎓

Across our campuses, Senior Decision Days proudly honored the incredible Class of 2026 as students revealed their next steps, whether heading to college or committing to serve in the military. Each decision reflects years of dedication, perseverance, and support from our schools and community.

As the school year winds down and graduation approaches, these moments become lasting memories. They are reminders of how far our students have come and how bright their futures are.

Because when someone asks, “Are you from San Bernardino?”
Our students can proudly say, “You’re darn right!”

This week, San Gorgonio High School hosted an engaging career fair on campus, giving students a valuable look into a wide range of career pathways. Our Workforce Development Coordinator, Chelsea Ramirez, was on hand to support the school and help connect students with opportunities.

Students had the chance to engage with a variety of agencies and organizations, including Cal Fire, San Bernardino County, military representatives, and local colleges.

Thank you to the staff at San Gorgonio for creating this meaningful experience, and to our industry partners for their continued support of career exploration across our schools.
