Dear DCE Parents and Guardians,

Today, our campus responded to a fire alarm activation and immediately implemented our emergency evacuation procedures. Please know that first responders, SBCISD personnel, and the DCE staff acted promptly and appropriately to ensure the safety and well-being of all scholars.

We want to reassure you that there was no actual fire, and all scholars remained safe and supervised at all times. Our staff followed established safety protocols, and the situation was quickly assessed and currently being resolved.

The safety of our scholars remains our highest priority. We continue to work diligently to maintain Dr. C.M. Cash Elementary as a safe and secure learning environment for all scholars and staff.

Please note that school will continue as normal, and we will resume our regular daily operations tomorrow.

We're committed to keeping your child safe during drop-off and dismissal, and we need your partnership to make it work smoothly.

Whether you're driving or walking, safety is non-negotiable 🚗🚶 If you walk to school, sidewalks and crosswalks are a must—no exceptions! This keeps everyone protected and our mornings running like clockwork ⏰

Here's one important thing: if your child's transportation plans change on any given day, please reach out to teacher before 1:30 PM so we can make sure everything is organized and your child knows what to expect 📞

On the first day of the school year, parents may es**rt their children to their respective classroom(s).

A new teacher, new classmates, or a new school for some students may be require guidance from their parents.

Once the instructional day begins, our campus staff will be ready to proceed with the day with our students.

The PEIMS Department at San Benito CISD will hold two in-person evening registration sessions for returning and new students.

The sessions will be hosted at San Benito High School, 450 S. Williams Road, San Benito, Texas 78586.

All families will be served for registration for all grade levels, PreK 3 to 12th.

The sessions will be held as follows:
Thursday, August 6th, from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm
Saturday, August 8th, from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon

We look forward to supporting our community as we start the new school year for students on Monday, August 10th.
