💜💛 A Homecoming week filled with blessings and Greyhound pride!

I thank God for the opportunity to serve the community that helped shape me. As a parent and trustee, seeing our students celebrated and new opportunities opening for them means so much.

At this week’s board meeting, our UTRGV partnership was a special highlight, expanding opportunities for college credit and support with college applications, scholarships, and financial aid. I’m proud to support efforts that help our children prepare for their future.

We also celebrated our “A” campuses, Dr. C.M. Cash Elementary, La Encantada Elementary, and Collegiate Academy, and our student writers for their publishing achievements. Thank you to the educators and families who pour so much into our children!

Another proud moment was Coach Felix Villalpando’s recognition on Good Morning America as one of five “Coaches Who Move Us,” honoring his impact on students and families on and off the field.

Thursday’s Homecoming parade brought our Greyhound spirit to life, followed by an exciting Homecoming victory over Harlingen South on Friday! I had so much fun cheering alongside our community. I also enjoyed attending the UTRGV game and celebrating a Vaqueros win! 🏈🎉

My prayer is that God continues to guide me to serve with humility, listen with compassion, and keep our children at the heart of every decision.

Students First. Always. 💜💛

💜💛 From Riverside Middle School to Good Morning America what a proud moment for San Benito CISD!

Congratulations, Coach Felix Villalpando, on representing our district and community on a national stage! Thank you to Principal Ramirez for supporting your staff and celebrating their success.

As a trustee and a parent, I want our students to see moments like this and think, “Big things are possible for me, too.” Having educators they know representing their hometown helps make those possibilities feel closer.

This is what makes San Benito CISD special: the people who inspire our children, the relationships that help them grow, and a community that celebrates them along the way.

Join me in congratulating Coach Villalpando! You’ve made your Greyhound family proud! 🐾💜💛

🇺🇸📺 RIVERSIDE REPRESENTED ON THE NATIONAL STAGE! 🐾💜💛

San Benito Schools is incredibly proud to celebrate Coach Felix Villalpando of Riverside Middle School, who was recognized on Good Morning America for the meaningful difference he makes in his students' lives and in his community! 🌟👏

Coach Villalpando took more than a seat on the GMA set today. He took Riverside Middle School, San Benito Schools, and our entire San Benito community with him.

His dedication to students reminds us that coaching is about so much more than what happens on the field. It is about mentorship, encouragement, character, and believing in young people every step of the way.

We are proud to see one of our own receive national recognition alongside coaches from across the country who are making a difference in the lives of their students and communities.

Congratulations, Coach Villalpando! You represented Riverside and San Benito Schools with pride, and we could not be prouder! 💜💛

Today, the nation got to see what we already know: great coaches do more than coach. They inspire, lead, and make a lasting difference.

Way to represent, Coach Villalpando! 🐾🌟

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, honor the courage of those who answered the call, and hold their families in our hearts. May we teach the next generation the compassion, service, and unity that brought our nation together. 🇺🇸
