Please join us in congratulating our first Helping Hands Award recipient, Ashley Gonzalez, CNA.
Ms. Gonzalez began working with the school district as a data entry clerk from a temp agency during COVID. She enjoyed working with the students and school nurses so much that she decided to pursue a certification as a nurse assistant. She has now worked with the district for nearly four years.
Ms. Gonzalez was nominated by Ms. Linda Ramos, a counselor from BCMS.
π³οΈ Nomination: Ashley goes above and beyond for everyone. When we did not have a nurse at BCMS she substituted for a whole year with no problems. When one of our students was pregnant, she went above and beyond and was able to connect with her and even bought the baby clothes and things the baby needed. That student will not open up to anyone, but was able to open up to her. Sheβs always active and helping with the Afterschool Program and she is very, very sweet. She treats everybody with respect, not to mention the level of care she gives. I think she would be exceptional for this award.
