Dear Parents/Guardians,

We would like to inform you that the TELPAS testing window has officially begun and will close on March 27, 2026.

Please stay tuned to your child’s campus schedule for specific testing dates. Each campus will communicate when students are scheduled to complete their assessments.

The Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS) is an important statewide assessment designed to measure the progress of Emergent Bilingual students in learning the English language. TELPAS evaluates students’ English language proficiency in four key areas: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The results help teachers understand each student’s growth and determine the level of language support needed to ensure academic success.

This assessment plays a significant role in monitoring your child’s progress in acquiring English and helps guide instructional planning to best meet their needs. We encourage you to support your child during this time by ensuring they get plenty of rest, arrive at school on time, and feel confident and encouraged to do their very best.

Your encouragement and positive reinforcement at home make a tremendous difference in your child’s confidence and performance. Thank you for your continued partnership and support.

Nos gustaría informarles que el periodo de evaluación de TELPAS ha comenzado oficialmente y cerrará el 27 de marzo de 2026.

Por favor, manténganse atentos al calendario de la escuela para conocer las fechas específicas en que su hijo(a) presentará el examen. Cada campus comunicará cuándo los estudiantes están programados para completar sus evaluaciones.

El Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS) es una evaluación estatal importante diseñada para medir el progreso de los estudiantes emergentes bilingües en el aprendizaje del idioma inglés. TELPAS evalúa el dominio del inglés en cuatro áreas clave: escuchar, hablar, leer y escribir. Los resultados ayudan a los maestros a comprender el crecimiento de cada estudiante y a determinar el nivel de apoyo lingüístico necesario para asegurar su éxito académico.
