Hi bakers and baking enthusiasts! This is long, but there has been a Salmonella outbreak linked to eggs.... here's the details:

The recalled white shell and brown cage-free eggs were distributed to foodservice operators and major retail grocery chains across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, and New Mexico. They were sold in various sizes (6-, 12-, 18-, 24-, 30-, 36-, and 60-count cartons) under the following brand names:KrogerSimple TruthBrookshire’sCountry MorningCal-Maine SunupsHow to Identify the Recalled EggsCheck the side of your egg carton for the specific expiration dates and plant codes:Best By / Sell By Dates: Between July 20, 2026, and August 17, 2026.Plant Codes: Look for P-1950 or 0840962.Julian Dates: Stamped with a number between 157 and 184.Immediate Action RequiredIf you have these eggs in your refrigerator, do not eat them. Throw them away immediately or return them to the store where purchased for a full refund. If you have stored eggs loose in an organizer and cannot verify the carton codes, discard them out of caution. Be sure to wash and sanitize any surfaces, utensils, or refrigerator drawers that came into contact with the recalled egg packaging using hot, soapy water. Salmonella can cause serious symptoms including fever, severe diarrhea, and abdominal cramps. Reach out to a healthcare provider immediately if you experience these symptoms after consuming eggs.
