The Carlos Alvarez College of Business achieved its highest undergraduate business program ranking this year, climbing to No. 89 nationally among public schools in U.S. News & World Report's 2027 Best Undergraduate Business Program rankings.

Rising 45 places, Alvarez had the largest position increase of any of the ranked undergraduate business programs.

Interning in the Windy City, senior finance major Bhargav Barad completed an internship this summer at JPMorgan Chase in Chicago.

"I had a fantastic internship experience, and I worked with an amazing team. My best advice for students is to keep an open mindset and be coachable and willing to learn."

Barad walked away from the experience with a full-time analyst position at the company when he graduates next spring.
