Bittersweet. Today I say goodbye to Suite 116, the place that changed my life in every possible way.

For 7 years, this place was much more than a gym. I met amazing people, made friends for life, watched kids grow up, helped people change their lives, and built a place where everyone could feel at home. Come train, roll, laugh, sit by the mats and just talk about life.

From going to raves with my students in their 20s 😂 to traveling to Brazil and becoming great friends with students in their 60s. Different ages, backgrounds and stories, but one family.

These were probably the happiest and also the most stressful 7 years of my life 😂 Building a gym is easy. Building a HOME is different.

Seven years ago, a Brazilian guy invested every single penny he had and started here with ZERO people. Today, I invest every single penny again, but this time I don’t start from zero.

I start with an ARMY behind me. ❤️

We are not a cult… but we are kind of a cult 😂😂😂

Goodbye, Suite 116. Thank you for everything.

The belt ceremony is exclusively for students with a valid membership. This is an intimate and special moment between our students and professors.

Parents with kids are welcome to arrive early and watch.

We truly appreciate our visitors, friends, and former students who want to come support everyone, but no exceptions will be made for the belt ceremony.

Please be advised, this is not a trampoline! 😂. One of the biggest investments we’ve made into TM Combat Academy isn’t something you’ll notice at first glance, but you’ll definitely feel it every time you train.

Our main Jiu Jitsu mat features a premium spring floor system covering over 1,700 square feet. This is one of the most expensive upgrades a martial arts academy can make, and we chose to invest in it because our students deserve the best.

A spring floor is designed to absorb impact, helping reduce stress on your knees, ankles, hips, and lower back during takedowns, throws, and countless hours of drilling. Whether you’re a beginner training for fitness, a hobbyist, or a high level competitor, your body takes less punishment, allowing you to train harder, recover faster, and stay on the mats longer.

Many gyms save money by installing mats directly on concrete. We chose the opposite. We invested tens of thousands of dollars into a professional spring floor system because your safety, comfort, and long term health matter.

Our goal has never been to build the cheapest gym. Our goal has always been to build one of the best equipped martial arts academies in Texas, giving our students a world class training experience every single day.

You get what you pay for, and we’re proud to continue investing back into our students.

We are incredibly proud to be just days away from our Grand Opening. After months of hard work, we are putting the final touches on what we believe will be one of the most modern and complete martial arts facilities in San Antonio.

This has been a huge investment because we believe our students deserve the very best. From our dedicated Brazilian Jiu Jitsu area with custom spring floors to our separate Muay Thai and MMA training area, traditional sauna, and premium equipment, every detail was designed to create the best training experience possible.

We will also offer nutrition and weight management programs, making TM Combat Academy more than just a place to train. It’s a place to improve your health, confidence, and lifestyle.
