UIW alumna covering Tokyo Olympics for the U.S. Army! 🇺🇸 🇯🇵

Brittany Nelson, BA, MA ‘17 is a public affairs specialist for the U.S. Army and is currently covering Soldier-athletes competing in the Summer Olympic Games. The Soldiers are part of the Army’s World Class Athlete Program (WCAP) which allows top-ranked Soldier-athletes to perform at the international level while also serving their nation in the military. During her time in Tokyo, she will be taking photos, and providing article and social media coverage at the games.

Meeting our incoming freshman and transfer students has been making our summer bright! Welcome to the nest, all, and welcome back to returning students.

All are invited to volunteer with our office and help us work to raise money for student scholarships throughout the year. In partnership with the University of the Incarnate Word Alumni office, we have created a new student organization, the Student Alumni and Philanthropy Association:

Student Alumni & Philanthropy Association Interest Form SAPA’s purpose is to bridge the gap between students and alumni, educate students about philanthropy and provide volunteer opportunities.

Fun fact: Our UIW alumni are royalty...FIESTA royalty that is! This year's Rey Feo is UIW alumnus Thomas Aguillon '97. We're grateful he took a break from his throne to support student scholarships at today's Swing-In Golf Tournament!
