OLLU Center for Mexican American Studies and Research The OLLU Center for Mexican American Studies and Research (CMASR) is committed to utilizing the University's Mexican American cultural expertise.

The OLLU Center for Mexican American Studies and Research (CMASR) is committed to utilizing the University's Mexican American cultural expertise as a viable springboard for supporting cultural competence and cultural enrichment of faculty, staff and students in higher education and other organizations and institutions. Rooted in a transnational perspective, the CMASR also serves as a regional educ

ational resource and interdisciplinary research center with a focus on effectively reaching, educating, and graduating more first-generation Latina/o students—a large majority who are of Mexican American descent. To showcase and expand OLLU’s expertise in Mexican American culture, the Center hosts and promotes events, programming, and interdisciplinary research efforts that explore various topics within Mexican American Studies, including history, literature, fine arts, transnational border studies, public policy, leadership, healthcare services and administration, counseling and social work, sciences, and education. We are especially proud to maintain the archival collections for the Spanish Missions and for San Antonio's first Latina city councilwoman, Maria Antonietta Berriozabal. These collections are used by national and international scholars for their research projects. We invite you to come join us for our campus-community programming and visit our Center, Research Collections, and main campus situated in the heart of San Antonio's West Side. Also, join us for our professional development opportunities and programs for personnel in education, business, health and wellness services, and non-profit organizations. ¡Sí se puede!
