Giving Day will unite alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents and friends to in support of their favorite colleges and programs. These gifts keep many of the university’s outstanding educational experiences affordable for even more students. Kimiya Factory is the Executive Director of Black Freedom Factory, an organization that encourages data-driven activism, redefines professionalism for BIPOC LGBTQIA+ communities and youth, and dismantles racial inequity across the state of Texas. She also leads and is the co-founder of the movement, which challenges Title IX policies regarding structural violence and sexual misconduct at institutions across San Antonio. This workshop is hosted by UTSA Survivors Faculty & Staff Alliance and made possible by the Office of Inclusive Excellence for Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Each May, the nation honors and celebrates Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month. During the month, we celebrate the long history of AAPI communities and the many strengths, contributions, and traditions of the communities.
At UTSA, our celebration of AAPI month begins during the month of April before the departure of students and many members of the campus over the summer break. During the month, UTSA hosts a variety of events that highlight the many cultures and traditions within the AAPI community.
