✨ MEET MS. SHOLAA! 🎭

Welcome back, Cobras! I’m so excited to introduce myself as one of your Theatre Directors as I begin my 3rd year in education 2nd teaching theatre at Cibolo Creek Middle School!
I’m a proud graduate of Texas State University, where I studied theatre and developed my passion for storytelling, performance, and working with young artists. I’m also currently pursuing my Master’s in Theatre Education, because I believe there is always more to learn, create, and discover as an educator and artist.
At the heart of my classroom is a simple philosophy:
Tell a story. Make the audience feel something. And have fun. ❤️🎭
I believe theatre is about so much more than memorizing lines and stepping onto a stage. It’s about finding your voice, taking creative risks, working together, and creating something that connects with an audience. My goal is to create a classroom where students feel encouraged to be themselves, support one another, and discover just how much they are capable of.
I’m incredibly excited to begin another year of creating, performing, collaborating, and growing together!

✨ MEET MRS. ACOSTA-BRIEN! 🎭

Welcome back, Cobras! I’m so excited to introduce myself as one of your Theatre Directors as I begin my 11th year in education and my second year building and growing theatre at Cibolo Creek Middle School!

I have more than a decade of experience in education and theatre, including directing many musicals and plays as well coaching students to state and national competition success in speech events. I’m currently pursuing my Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, because I believe we are all life long learners.

At the heart of my classroom is a simple belief: every student has a voice worth hearing. ❤️

I believe theatre is about so much more than what happens on stage. It gives students opportunities to be creative, collaborate, take risks, tell stories, and build confidence, empathy, and resilience. My goal is to create a space where students feel safe to be themselves, find their voice, and discover what they are capable of.

Some of my hobbies include playing Dungeons & Dragons, reading, writing, and spending time with my dogs. 🎲📚🐾

I’m incredibly excited for Year 11 and for another year of creating, performing, collaborating, and growing together!

🏴‍☠️✨ THAT’S A WRAP ON OUR FIRST EVER MUSICAL AT CIBOLO CREEK MIDDLE SCHOOL! ✨🏴‍☠️

What an unforgettable adventure Magic Tree House: Pirates Past Noon KIDS has been! From the very first rehearsal to our final bows, these students poured their hearts into every song, scene, and swashbuckling moment, and we could not be more proud. 💜

This production was more than just a show. It was the beginning of something special. A new tradition. A growing family. A reminder of what happens when students take a chance, work hard, and believe in each other. 🎭⚓️

A HUGE thank you to our incredible administrators for supporting the arts and believing in this program from the very beginning. Your encouragement helped make this dream a reality.

To our amazing parent volunteers, THANK YOU for jumping in wherever needed: costumes, makeup, microphones, backstage wrangling, and everything in between. This production truly took a village, and we could not have done it without you. ❤️

And to our students, thank you for being brave enough to try something new, for working hard even when things got difficult, for trusting the process, and for sticking with it through every challenge along the way. You are building the foundation for the future of Cobra Theatre. 🌟🐍

Due to inclement weather and an ongoing Flash Flood Warning in our area, ALL after school activities at CCMS are canceled today. Stay dry, stay safe, avoid flooded areas.

Update for this Week’s Schedule as we wind down STAAR season we will now be starting rehearsal directly after school until show day, so we will not be running rehearsal as late as we normally do.
