I had a location tell me no the first time I pitched them. Politely, but still a no. Most people would've crossed it off the list and moved on, but something told me it was worth one more shot, so instead of walking away, I asked if I could follow up in a few weeks instead of pushing right then and there.
Here's what I did differently the second time around:
I didn't repeat the same pitch — I asked more questions instead of talking, so I actually understood what their hesitation was
I led with a low-risk offer, something like a short trial period so they weren't committing to anything long-term right away
I stayed consistent but not pushy, checking in every couple of weeks instead of disappearing or overwhelming them with follow-ups
That location ended up saying yes, and it's been one of my better-performing machines since. This might not work for every situation, and every host is different, but if you're sitting on a "no" right now, it might be worth trying this approach before you cross that location off your list for good.
