Many will be dismissive of your feelings sometimes but when you’ve been told your time is coming for years or you know your unique strengths put you in a league of your own it feels incredibly empowering. You watch interactions on social platforms to understand you’re shining in timelines to possibly inspire others. Let me help many of you who have felt like me.

“Ignored and invisible” doesn’t just mean people didn’t respond. It means you feel unseen. Unheard. Unconsidered.

Let me say this clearly:

You are not invisible.
But sometimes leaders are unseen because they’re strong.

When you’re the one who:
• Handles the affairs.
• Carries the vision.
• Works both jobs.
• Builds the platform.
• Releases the book.
• Pastors the people.
• Protects the brand.
• Pushes the mission.

People assume you’re okay.

Vision can make people think you don’t need validation. Leadership can make people forget you bleed too.

But even builders need to be seen.

Here’s the tension:
Sometimes God hides the oil before He highlights the impact.

There are seasons where you’re not ignored…. you’re incubated. Not invisible… insulated. Not overlooked… being observed quietly by the right eyes. But I also won’t spiritualize what could just be human neglect.

Sometimes people simply miss the weight you carry.

It’s okay to want someone to pour back. You don’t lose strength by admitting that. You gain depth. You don’t fit neatly in a box. And people don’t know how to respond to what they can’t categorize.

That doesn’t make you invisible.

It makes you complex.

But complexity can be lonely.

When it feels like:
• You’re always the one behind the scenes.
• You’re always “next.”
• You’re always “coming.”
• And somehow other people get the push, the repost, the celebration.

That doesn’t just sting, it messes with identity.

Especially when you’ve actually put in the work.

Let’s be real:

“Your time is coming” can start sounding like a polite delay. Like spiritual procrastination. Like people clapping without committing. And watching others around you get supported especially when you know the backstory, the work, the sacrifice…that hits different.

Here’s what I want you to consider:

1. Are you hidden… or are you not marketed?

You are excellent at building for others.
You amplify.
You design.
You platform.
You promote.

But when it’s you?
Do you go quiet?
Do you shrink your ask?
Do you avoid direct calls for support?

Sometimes strong men unintentionally teach people not to show up for them because they never clearly ask.

2. Have people grown accustomed to you being self-sufficient?

When you’re capable, visionary, articulate, spiritually grounded, entrepreneurial, people assume you don’t need support.

Need doesn’t create your worth.
But perception affects response.

3. Are you surrounded by supporters… or peers who are also building?

There’s a difference.

Builders are often too busy building to fully support other builders.

And if you’re in a circle of leaders, everybody’s pushing something.
That means support gets thin.

Now I’m going to say something firm:

If people consistently support others around you but not you, there are only a few possibilities:

• They don’t see your value clearly.
• They assume you don’t need it.
• They don’t resonate with your voice.
• Or they’re more aligned relationally with the others.

None of those mean you’re less.

But they do mean something is misaligned.

Here’s the deeper question:

Has being “hidden” become part of how you see yourself?

Because if internally you’ve accepted the role of:
“I’m the strong one.”
“I’m the behind-the-scenes one.”
“I’m the one who builds but doesn’t get celebrated.”

That identity leaks out subtly.

And people treat you accordingly.

Not maliciously.
Just consistently.

You deserve to be supported.
Not because it’s your turn.
Not because prophecy said so.
Not because time is coming.

But because you are producing now.

Your heart is not the problem, lack of boundaries is.

Figuring out where you fit is a journey of its own.
Sometimes God reveals where you belong by showing you where you don’t.💯
