Roy Cisneros Elementary opened in 1953 as Cenizo Park Elementary. It was later rebuilt and opened in 2009 and re-named Roy Cisneros Elementary in honor of former student US Marines Cpl. Roy Cisneros who was killed in active duty in Vietnam in 1968. He received the Navy Cross for his valid service during the Vietnam War. We know many Edgewood ISD families are dealing with power outages and storm damage. As our community recovers, we want families to know that all Edgewood ISD schools will be OPEN Monday, August 31, and will operate on a normal schedule.

Meals will be served as usual. Counselors will be available for students who may need additional support. If you need assistance by the City of San Antonio, call 3-1-1.

Please continue to take care of yourselves and one another as our community recovers. We look forward to welcoming our students back to school Monday.

Sabemos que muchas familias de Edgewood ISD están enfrentando cortes de electricidad y daños causados por la tormenta. Mientras nuestra comunidad continúa recuperándose, queremos informarles que todas las escuelas de Edgewood ISD estarán ABIERTAS el lunes 31 de agosto y operarán en su horario normal.

❤️We’re Ready to Welcome Back Our Mighty Mustangs Monday! 💛

RCLS Families,

We know the storms and power outages have made the last few days challenging for many of our families. We hope everyone is safe and doing well.

Tomorrow, Monday, August 31, RCLS will be OPEN and ready to welcome our Mustangs back! 🏫

We know some families may still be dealing with the aftermath of the storms. Please know that when your child walks through our doors tomorrow, we are ready to provide a safe, welcoming place to learn, eat, connect, and get back into their normal routine.

🍎 Meals will be served.
📚 Learning will continue.
❤️ Our counselor and staff are here to support our students.
🐴 And most importantly, we are ready to see our Mustangs!
