"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you."
Psalm 32:8

We would like to say thank you to all the KCA teachers for their hard work and dedication to our children. May the Lord continue to bless you with the wonderful God-given gift he has given you. We had the best example, Mrs. Irasema Arellano! We love you!!

I would also like to thank all the parents who have taken the roles of teachers and assisting us in getting the job done! Thank you for this wonderful partnership we have created! We are truly blessed!

[03/30/20]   KCA family. We understand that during this time, what was once deemed normal is no longer normal. For the past week, we have been trying to adapt to a new way of living. If it is an adjustment for us as parents/adults, it may be even a little harder for our children to embrace these adjustments. Schools, businesses, recreational facilities, and other public places now closed. There are many unknowns or uncertainties. As a result our children and ourselves may be experiencing a wide range of emotions. Maybe we are anxious or overwhelmed. We miss our friends, our daily routines, and our children miss their teachers, classmates, and friend as well. Maybe we feel impatient or frustrated for a variety of reasons due to this pandemic. We long for what we used to know as normalcy.
However we feel during this quarantine, it is important to acknowledge our feelings. We encourage you to entrust everything to the Lord over and over again. Take this time to teach your children to entrust all their anxieties, fears, and emotions to Him as well. We encourage you to pray with your children before they begin their daily work. We encourage to watch their Bible videos or read their Bible lessons with them. Hug them a little tighter, laugh with them a little louder, but also remind them how important it is to look for God to obtain wisdom, guidance, and strength to endure each day. Our favorite go to verse when our students were unsure of their capabilities is " I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." Philippians 4:13
Since before the quarantine began, we were compelled by the Holy Spirit to begin fasting and praying for guidance and wisdom from the Lord. Please know that we are at your disposal not only to help your child with their work but for prayer as well. If you would like us to pray with you or your child, please feel free to contact us.
Below you will find some scriptures that may help you to get through these difficult times,

When You Feel Worried
// “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” -Psalm 27:1

// “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change…” -Psalm 46:1-2

// The entirety of Psalm 91

// “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice … The Lord is near. Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:4-7

// “Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.” -1 Peter 5-7
When You Struggle to Adjust to a New Routine
// “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” -Proverbs 3:5-6

// “The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts; so I am helped, and my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.” -Psalm 28:7

// “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” -Matthew 11:28-30

// “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” -2 Corinthians 12:9

// “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” -Philippians 4:13
When You Feel Uneasy
// “Be still, and know that I am God!” -Psalm 46:10

// “Return, O my soul, to your rest, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.” -Psalm 116:7

// “I will satisfy the weary, and all who are faint I will replenish.” -Jeremiah 31:25

// “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.” -John 14:27

// “Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” -Philippians 4:8
When You Grow Impatient or Frustrated
// “Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.” -Matthew 5:7

// “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.” -Matthew 5:10

// “Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” -Galatians 6:2

// “As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Bear with one another… forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you… Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body.” -Colossians 3:12-15

// “We love because he first loved us.” -1 John 4:19

KCA Staff

[03/16/20]   After much prayer and guidance from the Holy Spirit, we have come to the decision to extend our spring break another week. The staff will return to campus on Monday, in order to thoroughly disinfect the school building. We will also be discussing this situation more in depth. Text messages with additional information or further instructions will be sent. In the midst of all the cancellations of local events, we have also decided to cancel our Spring Festival. Please continue to pray. We serve a powerful God who is and always will be in the midst of every situation.

In His Service,

Mrs. Mireles

Today we layed to rest a very special person, Mrs. Irasema Arellano. She was a woman after God's heart. We will miss you, but we will hold tight to the love and wisdom you deposited in each of our hearts. Your memories and legacy will fill every classroom and the vision that God instilled in our hearts will continue to flourish. You have touched many lives;we were witness of that these past 2 days. You will continue to touch lives through your vision(KCA), students, friends, and family. We vow to seek God just as you did and share his love and wisdom just as you did.
Until we meet again.

Please continue to pray for her husband, family, friends, and students. Thank you for your support. God bless.

Today has been a hard day for us at King's Christian Academy. We have lost a very important person in our KCA family. My best friend (sister) and co founder of KCA, Irasema Arellano, has gone to be with our Lord and Savior. She loved God with all her heart and she spread that same love to her kids(students), parents, and everyone she came in contact with. She was a prayer warrior, a person who displayed God's strength and wisdom. There are no words to describe what she meant to us. We love you and you will forever be in our hearts. Please keep her husband, Ralph Arellano and her entire family in prayer.

This was her favorite Bible verse....

"I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness." Jeremiah 31:3 NIV

Merry Christmas KCA family and friends! May you have a day filled with joy surrounded by those you love. God bless!
