And just like that! The Pre-Service Week is over! These participants received the required 24 hours of training to work in a licensed child care facility, including SIDS & Shaken Baby Syndrome… a special requirement for working with infants/toddlers. This certificate demonstrates basic skills and knowledge and now for the next eight weeks, they earn the training hours to receive the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential. Congratulations!!!

Day 4 was a day of opposites! The morning training was on professionalism and customer service! The participants learned the importance of both in our field… then this afternoon it was literally fun and games by learning appropriate activities for young children, like songs to sing, games to play, and storytelling! They got funky dancing to the cha cha slide which they learned is a great way to teach young children spatial perception! Way to go ladies!

Ensuring these participants are adequately prepared for emergencies is a top priority and a requirement for state licensing and CDA credentialing purposes. Day 3 focused on health and safety protocols. Participants received certification in FA/CPR and learned strategies for preventing the spread of communicable diseases and maintaining a clean and safe environment for young children. Our training adheres to guidelines set by the American Heart Association, ensuring these individuals are well-prepared. Congratulations, Ladies!

Day 2 done! Discussions are an integral part of Early Childhood Training. Our topics today were Guidance and Building Self-Esteem in Young Children. Our participants are encouraged to self-reflect about approaches they could try to help with challenging behaviors and share ideas about creating positive outcomes. It was an awesome day! The participation makes teaching fun and A LOT easier! Kudos to the ladies!
