🌱 From seed to salad bar, it starts right here at IDEA Farms.

October is Farm to School Month, and we’re celebrating the farms that give our scholars opportunities to learn outdoors, get their hands dirty and see how food makes its way from the ground to their school communities. 🥬

👩‍🌾 Here’s to the farms, food and hands-on learning growing across IDEA!

🍎 And remember: Every IDEA scholar can enjoy breakfast and lunch at school at no cost, with free supper also available at select campuses.

🎗️ After a year-and-a-half battle with cancer, fifth grader Lejend rang the bell. 💙

And through it all, his IDEA Robinson community made sure he knew he wasn't fighting alone.

While treatment kept Lejend home from school, his friends sent letters, drew pictures and even FaceTimed him during lunch so he could still share that time with his classmates.

Last week, those same friends, family and campus community came together to celebrate Lejend with a parade and balloon release, while IDEA Eastside and IDEA Converse joined IDEA Robinson in wearing gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness.

Lejend, your IDEA Team & Family is celebrating right alongside you. 🎗️

🎓 Joshua Arechiga committed to USC before ever setting foot on campus.

For the IDEA Burke valedictorian and first-generation college student, getting from San Antonio to Los Angeles took years of determination, support and scholarship opportunities that gave him something incredibly important: the opportunity to choose.

Now, Joshua is beginning his next chapter at USC—and carrying the IDEA community with him more than 1,000 miles from home.

From arriving at IDEA Burke as a sixth grader struggling with English to graduating as valedictorian without a single college rejection, there’s much more to Joshua’s journey.
