Hi, I’m Shelby Montoya! I have spent the past 7 years as a middle school ALE teacher and am excited to start this new journey teaching ECSE. While not at work, I am spending time with my husband Jacob, daughter Elliana, and our dog Chelsea. I enjoy being outside, trying new bbq restaurants, attending Burn Bootcamp, and traveling somewhere new in the summers. Go Spurs Go!

I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and I am a second-generation American. Both of my parents were raised in Mexico and later became United States citizens.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary English from St. Mary’s University. In addition, I earned my Master of Education in Leadership and Policy Studies from The University of Texas at San Antonio.

I am a proud product of Northside and graduated from Holmes High School. I have previously worked at San Antonio ISD, Northside ISD, Boerne ISD, and South San ISD. I am excited to be a part of the Northside family!

Saying goodbye is hard, but we know our Falcons are going to do amazing things! We will miss you! ❤️

Today was a special day at Fields! Thanks to Coach P and the Believe It Foundation, Fields now has their very own adaptive bike for all students to use! Thanks to Nico for riding the bike into the assembly for us!

To add to all of the excitement, we also had lots of prizes handed out for showing our Falcon Traits, our strings students performed, a glow dance party for math facts and of course burgers for the staff for all of their hard work!

Last day of teacher appreciation for our amazing staff! We had Chick-Fil-A breakfast, Kona Ice, pizza, shirts from PTA and surprise gift card giveaways! Thank you teachers, we love you! ❤️
